Our original Autohelm (a/k/a Raymarine) ST50 instruments worked well for years. When the masthead windvane failed, no replacement or repair was available. We decided to upgrade to the ST60 wind;ultimately deciding to upgrade the depth and speed as well. Several other ST50 instruments were retained in the system (Navdata,navdesk repeater, autopilot control). The ST60s can be retrofitted into the ST50 system,by splicing in with a few connectors. The sensors and their wire runs/connectors (except for wind) can be retrofitted as well, or replaced as they are the same in both systems.The mounting holes are different sizes.
